Ambedkar Nagar: The body of a fisherman who left home on Saturday morning was found lying in a tube well near Patti Bazaar late in the evening. Injuries were found on his back. Family members have expressed suspicion of murder. Meanwhile, the police have sent the body for postmortem and started investigating the matter.
Dhaniram (50), a resident of Patti village of Kotwali area, left home on Saturday morning for the tube well located near Patti intersection. It is said that Dhaniram had got the lease of a pond located near Patti intersection in which he used to do fish farming. Most of the time he stayed at the tube well located next to the pond. His family members also used to deliver his food through the tube well.
Like every day, his son reached the tubewell with food on Saturday afternoon. When Dhaniram was not found there, he kept the food inside the tube well and went home. Late in the evening he again reached there with food. Once again the father was not found there. On this he returned home with food. After half an hour he again went there with food but this time too his father was not found.
Santosh started searching. When he removed the plank placed on the well next to the tube well, he saw his father's dead body inside. After some time other family members also reached there. Dhaniram was thrown out. But by then he had died. It is said that injury marks were found on his back and head and about Rs 1.5 thousand kept in his pocket were also missing. The family members feared murder by unknown people.
Meanwhile, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. The body was sent for postmortem. Kotwal Santosh Kumar Singh said that the postmortem of the dead body is being conducted. Clear information about the cause of death will be available only after the report comes. No complaint has been received from the family members.
It is said that on April 18, Dhaniram's son Sonu got married. Many types of marriage programs also took place on 19 April. His relatives were also present at home. The happiness of the marriage was spread in the family. Meanwhile the incident happened on 20th April. Due to this the happiness of the family turned into sorrow.
