Ambedkar Nagar : On Tuesday, some mischievous elements once again pelted stones at the Vande Bharat Express running from Patna to Lucknow near Katehri. Due to this many glasses of the train were cracked. This is the fourth incident of stone pelting in the district within two months. Railway Police is preparing to register a case after identifying a girl and two boys involved in the earlier incident.
Let us tell you that Vande Bharat, which was going from Patna to Lucknow, reached Katehari railway station at 8 o'clock on Tuesday night. During this time some mischievous elements pelted stones at him. When the train going at high speed reached Lucknow, it was found that the glass of the train was damaged. After getting information about the incident, Akbarpur GRP police reached the incident site.
Railway policemen interrogated nearby villagers, but could not get any information. The police is waiting for the footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the train. Even before this, many incidents have happened here in the district border. Four days after stone pelting at a distance of two kilometers from Akbarpur railway station on April 25, some mischievous elements had thrown stones at the train near Malipur on April 29. Due to which the glass of the train was cracked. An incident of stone throwing had also taken place near Katehri a few days ago.
GRP police station incharge Samar Bahadur Singh said that there is information about the incident of stone pelting. After receiving the CCTV footage, the accused will be identified and action will be taken. Three minors have been identified in the earlier stone pelting. A case will be registered after some paperwork.
