Ambedkar Nagar : Within 48 hours of the accident in Ayodhya, a goods train derailed at Akbarpur railway station on Monday. A coach of the train derailed. However, this did not affect the operation of any passenger train.
According to the information, the goods train from Varanasi reached Akbarpur with ballast at 11 am. After unloading the required ballast in about two hours, when the goods train was returning towards the main track, a coach derailed. The driver stopped the train at this.
As soon as information was received about the derailment of the train, employees from the station reached the spot. Efforts were started to bring the coach back on track. Coincidentally, neither the operation of any train was affected nor was anyone injured in this accident. After about two and a half hours of effort the coach could be brought back on track. After this the goods train went towards Varanasi.
